Reebot Robotics UniPod — AI Optical Pods, Supplied from Europe

Four-sensor AI optical pods for multirotor UAVs, VTOL fixed-wing aircraft, ground vehicles and robotic platforms. Wide-angle camera, optical zoom, thermal imaging and laser rangefinder in a single 405 g pod, with onboard AI recognition and tracking. Supplied across Europe by A-Trix Group.

The AI runs on the pod. A built-in 10 TOPS processor handles object recognition, tracking and super-resolution without a separate computing module on your aircraft — no extra weight, no extra wiring, no extra failure point.

Built for aircraft that actually fly fast

Most gimbal pods are designed around a multirotor that hovers. A VTOL fixed-wing aircraft cruises, and at cruise speed a bluff-bodied pod becomes a drag penalty and a vibration source.

The UniPod MT11 uses a spherical structure specifically to reduce air resistance, and is rated for 120 km/h cruising and 140 km/h extreme airspeed. If you are building or operating a VTOL platform, this is the constraint that eliminates most other pods from the shortlist.

The quick-release anti-vibration mount installs with a push and a twist in about five seconds — which matters more than it sounds when you are swapping payloads between airframes in the field.

UniPod MT11 — four sensors in 405 grams

SensorCapability
Wide-angle camera84° field of view, 48 MP, 8K photography and 4K video
Zoom camera11× optical, 165× hybrid, 48 MP, with electronic image stabilisation
Thermal imager640×512 native, up to 2560×2048 thermal stills using AI super-resolution
Laser rangefinder±1 m accuracy, GPS coordinate output when paired with an autopilot

Three-axis stabilisation with unlimited yaw rotation. IP54 rated. The unlimited yaw matters on fixed-wing and ground platforms that cannot simply turn to face a target — the pod keeps the camera locked without the carrier manoeuvring.

What onboard AI actually does

With AI recognition enabled, objects of interest are outlined on the video feed. Tap one and the pod tracks it — the box turns blue and the gimbal holds the target while the aircraft moves.

  • Default models cover people and vehicles, with licence plate recognition that reads and displays the plate in real time
  • Insulator inspection as a dedicated mode for powerline work
  • Thermal recognition across the infrared sensor, not only visible light
  • Region-of-interest selection for targets the standard models do not cover
  • Custom models trained in the UniAI Studio platform and imported into the pod — you can teach it to recognise something specific to your operation

The practical difference from a pod without onboard AI is that the operator stops flying the camera. On a long inspection run, holding a target manually for an hour is what tires people out and causes missed defects.

By application

Powerline and infrastructure inspection

Thermal imaging finds hot joints, the zoom camera resolves hardware detail from a safe standoff, and the dedicated insulator recognition mode does the looking. Electronic image stabilisation keeps the zoomed view usable, and the rangefinder gives coordinates for any defect you find.

Emergency response and search

Thermal detection at night, AI recognition of people, and a rangefinder that turns a sighting into GPS coordinates a ground team can navigate to. On a VTOL platform the pod’s airspeed rating lets you cover ground quickly and then loiter over the target.

Security and surveillance

Vehicle and person detection with licence plate reading, running onboard rather than on a ground station. Unlimited yaw rotation keeps the target in frame regardless of aircraft heading.

Surveying and mapping

8K stills at 48 MP from both wide-angle and zoom cameras, with laser ranging for scale and reference. The light weight leaves margin for endurance on survey platforms where every gram costs flight time.

Ground and robotic platforms

The same pod works on UGVs and robotic carriers. Unlimited yaw compensates for platforms that cannot rotate freely, and the quick-release mount suits vehicles that swap payloads between tasks.

How it compares to the alternatives we stock

We supply TOPOTEK and SIYI payloads as well, and they are not interchangeable. The honest summary:

Why buy Reebot from A-Trix Group

Inside the EU customs union. We are based in Tallinn, Estonia. Shipments within the EU cross no customs border — no import duty, no clearance paperwork, no surprise fees. Ordering direct from Asia means customs, import VAT and weeks of transit on a pod that costs real money.

Express shipping at contract rates. We ship worldwide under a FedEx contract, so delivery costs materially less than the published rates.

We supply the aircraft around the pod. A VTOL platform needs propulsion rated for transition, an autopilot that can command the gimbal, and precise positioning to make the imagery useful. We stock T-MOTOR AT-series VTOL propulsion, CubePilot autopilots and Drotek RTK GNSS — one invoice, one supplier, parts checked against each other.

Engineering support. Our team includes developers from Riga Technical University, working with our founder — a Senior Member of IEEE, lecturer at Riga Technical University, and author of registered patents in AI and unmanned systems. AI-enabled payloads are exactly the area he publishes in.

B2B terms that work for procurement. Business customers with a valid EU VAT number registered outside Estonia are invoiced at 0% VAT under the reverse charge mechanism. We issue formal quotations and proforma invoices and accept purchase orders.

About Reebot Robotics

Reebot Robotics develops optical pods, gimbal cameras and unmanned platforms for the drone and intelligent robotics industry, including multirotor and VTOL aircraft. The UniPod line combines multi-sensor imaging with onboard AI computing, and the company provides UniAI Studio for training custom recognition models.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate AI computing module?

No. The 10 TOPS AI processor is built into the pod. Recognition and tracking run onboard without additional hardware on your aircraft.

Can it be used on a VTOL fixed-wing aircraft?

Yes — this is what the spherical structure is for. The MT11 is rated for 120 km/h cruising and 140 km/h extreme airspeed, which most pods designed for hovering multirotors are not.

Can I train it to recognise something specific?

Yes. Custom models are trained using the UniAI Studio platform and imported into the pod. Default models cover people and vehicles, with licence plate reading and an insulator inspection mode included.

What is the difference between 11× optical and 165× hybrid zoom?

Optical zoom adds real detail; hybrid zoom enlarges the image electronically. Judge working range by the optical figure — 11×. The hybrid figure is useful for framing, not for identification.

Does the rangefinder give coordinates?

Yes, when paired with an autopilot. Ranging accuracy is around ±1 m, and the pod can output GPS coordinates for the measured target.

Can I buy without VAT?

Yes. Business customers with a valid EU VAT number registered outside Estonia are invoiced at 0% VAT under the reverse charge mechanism.
